Birmingham-based Bayer Properties has announced plans to purchase and redevelop The Hardwick, a 110-year-old steel plant located in downtown Birmingham. The company plans to redevelop the structure into a mixed-use project featuring office and restaurant space. The building was formerly occupied by The Hardwick Company and features an existing 30,000 square feet of space.
