The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is currently looking for a team player who has extensive experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365. This position location is in Towson, Maryland. Successful candidates must be able to complete a background check and drug screen.

 

The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for creating, configuring and securing SharePoint sites for construction projects and support groups while maintaining SharePoint permissions with internal and external users.  Knowledge of Microsoft Unified Labeling and SharePoint permissions to support data loss prevention strategies are an integral part of our environment. Whiting-Turner is in the process of kicking off a SharePoint intranet project to unify all existing SharePoint sites. This role will be involved with the planning and execution of the intranet project with assistance from an outside consultant.  Once the intranet is implemented this role will be responsible for ongoing vision, development and maintenance of the intranet and sites.

 

Responsibilities

  • SharePoint architecture vision, planning, execution, and maintenance
  • End-user support for internal users
  • Plan out business analysis efforts, including stakeholder analysis, and communication
  • Support discussions on establishing and controlling application scope
  • Facilitate requirements gathering via meetings, interview sessions, and brainstorming
  • Support internal stakeholder meetings to understand current business practices and business needs supporting requirements analysis
  • Document and validate high-level business needs
  • Document quality attributes, interfaces, and other nonfunctional requirements
  • Validate requirements with business stakeholders and team members
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members regarding requirements development and translation into software implementation
  • Participate in requirements prioritization
  • Support development and refinement of requirements, identifying and recommending corrections to gaps or deficiencies
  • Manage changes to baselined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools
  • Support business validation of functionality
  • Assist in maintaining concurrent project schedules
  • Develop weekly and monthly status reports
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, scripting and Office 365 security and permissions
  • 5+ years of work experience in Information Technology
  • Proficient in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 Technologies
  • Site Architecture
  • Facilitate internal meetings with business owners, technical leads, and other stakeholders
  • Microsoft Office 2016 Pro Plus Suite
  • Microsoft 365 Apps such as Teams, Flow, Power Automate, Planner, and Stream
  • Demonstrated abilities as a driven, self-starter, and good communicator
  • SharePoint Online Customization, Design and UIX
