Position Overview

Project Manager – Transit Systems
 
Fisk Electric Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Los Angeles office. 
 
The Project Manager position requires management and technical expertise for the delivery of systems/electrical contracts, including planning and scheduling of work, managing project teams, maintaining good relations with contracting teams, agency clients and supporting disciplines, tracking and controlling scopes of work, budgets and schedules.  Work may include constructability/design reviews of signal, traction power, communications, electrical scopes, and coordination of systems work with track work, other trades, MOT, and TBM support.
 
Responsibilities:
  •         Contract management and prime contractor/designer interface for design/build processes
  •         Supervise, coordinate and manage systems scope within multi-discipline projects to meet  needs of contractor
  •         Single point of contact for all client communications
  •         Project budget and schedule controls
  •         Adherence to Quality Assurance Program
  •         Establish contract budgets and scopes of work
  •         Work with project teams in supervising/mentoring technical staff and junior managers
  •         Provide design staff with constructability review, guidance and assistance as required
  •         Responsible for successful completion (scope, schedule & budget) of projects under his/her direction
 
Qualifications:
 
Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field or equal experience commiserate to the position. Must have a minimum of 10 years relevant engineering and management experience in transportation related projects. Candidate must demonstrate effective leadership and project management experience.  Must have excellent oral and written communications skills. Design/build experience is preferred.  Management experience as a subcontractor preferred. Knowledge of policies and procedures of local transit/rail agencies such as LACMTA or SCRRA is preferred.
