Position Description: Responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and completing drywall projects related tasks at building construction projects. May perform other duties as necessary or required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Be a working foreman while leading the drywall crew to complete all drywall work.
-Ability to accurately transfer layout information from construction drawings and documents to floors or ceilings.
-Installation of rough carpentry, framing, hanging of insulation and drywall, suspended ceiling systems, caulking (fire and smoke/sound), miscellaneous drywall trim, and rough carpentry.
-Performance of tape and bed at walls and ceilings, texturing, painting, staining, wall covering, and finish caulking.
-Ability to make repairs to doors, frames, walls, and ceilings.
-Participate in interviews and recommend hires for trade staff.
-Operate equipment such as forklifts and aerial lifts.
-Supervise and develop trade employees, as assigned, including providing input on or completing performance appraisals.
-Address staff needs and resolve problems. Provide staff feedback, reward, and discipline as required.
-Develop work schedules and crew assignments.
-Completes time sheets, production sheets, extra work tickets, daily construction reports, and required safety paperwork daily and submits to the office.
-Assist with the overall site safety and quality programs as required and ensuring Trade employees/subcontractors compliance with Turner standards and all applicable safety codes, regulations, and jobsite security.
-Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.
-Ability to travel and accommodate night and weekend work as needed.
-Display a high level of teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership in daily operations.
We are a drug free work place; candidates are required to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug testing. Relocation not offered for this position.

  • Five (5) years minimum experience required; and minimum of (2) year exposure to supervisory responsibilities.
    Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
    Moderate technical abilities to utilize a smart phone/iPad for communication requirements that come with this role.
    Proficiency in EH&S applications.
    Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
    Must be able to comprehend safety instructions and signage, communicate effectively in emergencies and understand written safety instructions from tool and equipment manufacturers.
    OSHA 30-hour certification.
    Valid Driver’s License required.
