As a Senior Coordinator Diversity and Community Outreach, you will work with our marketing, preconstruction, and operations teams to support the day-to-day and long-range implementation of the regional community outreach and supplier diversity program.

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with organizing networking events to enhance small and diverse business participation on McCarthy projects
  • Contract and subcontractor compliance, including interaction with government entities and organizations.
  • Tracking and assembling all pre- and post-bid documentation regarding small and diverse businesses to satisfy internal program requirements and contractual obligations
  • Analyze data to establish diversity goals for individual projects
  • Track, monitor and create reports for all assigned projects
  • Support project management teams in resolving issues with subcontractors or suppliers through the life of a project
  • Develop and present training materials in concert with department director
  • Assist with the preparation of proposal responses, award submittals, newsletters, etc
  • Conduct periodic meetings with key stake holders to discuss progress toward meeting goals, make recommendations, and track the implementation of recommendation
  • Maintain active relationships with industry organizations such as National Minority Supplier Development Council (regional affiliate), National Association of Minority Contractions, Regional Black Contactors Association, National Hispanic Contractors Association (regional affiliate), etc and take an active role in their respective industry groups, planning committees, and training opportunities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience with outreach and compliance programs. Must have experience local and federal programs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate skill in Excel spreadsheet reporting and developing charts for reports is preferred
  • Experience with B2Gnow vendor payment software
  • Working Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Effective organizational development and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective change and strategic management skills
