Your Key Deliverables

The Fifth + Broadway Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing and executing the strategic marketing plan and day-to-day marketing initiatives including, advertising, public relations, and tourism for the property. Responsibilities will include planning programming to attract clientele to the property, developing initiatives to increase sales and revenue for existing tenants, assisting Corporate Marketing and Leasing with marketing projects and tasks, and performing other duties as assigned.  Further, act as the overall project marketing liaison between Office and Residential ensuring each group is supported by the overall project.

This position will represent Fifth + Broadway overall though Residential and Office will have marketing support out of their respective Corporate Marketing Team.  The goal of this position is to be an in-market liaison between all entities ( Residential and Office) but will be mainly responsible for supporting the Retail portion directly but ensuring, as the boots on the ground marketing representative, that all aspects of the project are supported and tie together appropriately.

  • Creation of the annual strategic marketing plan and budget for the retail/dining portion of Fifth + Broadway.
  • Responsible for the implementation and direction of strategic marketing plan initiatives including but not limited to:
  • advertising (liaison with advertising agency for campaign adjustments/direction and oversees/directs media plan management)
  • programming (manage daily operating programs, liaison with retailers to ensure productivity in relation to tenant event execution)
  • events (conceptualize and execute project specific signature events, seek event partnerships with local and existing signature events in Nashville)
  • leasing support (liaison with advertising agency for leasing collateral, provides current competitive center analysis and market trends for retail and dining)
  • budget management (oversees expenditures to ensure budget remains on track with no deficits incurred, ability to forecast)
  • public relations (manage public relations resources and seek opportunities to support tenants and all aspects of the project within the media)
  • tenant relations (create relationships with the tenants, assist with in-store events, communicate with corporate office and share opportunities to utilize center marketing programs)
  • sponsorship/partnership (manage relationship and ensure goals are being met with selected media partner, seek sponsors for project which fit within the overall project goals)
  • In-market representative for tourism initiatives. Works with an expert in tourism to create and generate programs that increase tourism activity.  These initiatives include but are not limited to:
  • executing local tourism efforts and creating opportunities to drive local tourism
  • acting as liaison with area DMOs (Destination Management Organization)
  • conducting/seeking out media and travel trade FAM Tours (Familiarization Tours)
  • creating center experiences with stores and restaurants for FITs (Free Independent Traveler), domestic/international tour groups and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events) guests
  • Acts as the onsite representative responsible for local maintenance and direction of center website, social media platforms and email programs.
  • Serves as the local face of Fifth + Broadway to a variety of constituencies: onsite retailers’ restaurateurs, corporate marketing and leasing staffs, business partners and the Nashville community at large.
  • Work closely with not only the tenants but also the National Museum of African American Music, a key tenant at the project, support their initiatives and tie them into the overall project marketing goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar
  • Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience with a property, preferable for a mixed-use (retail, office, and multi-family) property and in the Nashville market.
  • Strong relationship building and management skills
  • Impeccable grammatical, oral, and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, working knowledge of Adobe Creative suite preferred
  • Strategic, resourceful and proactive out-of-the box thinker
  • Proven ability to handle a fast-past environment with a high sense of urgency
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required for marketing events
