A decade ago, sustainable construction was something that was separate or added to the traditional building process. DESIGN PHASE
The start of your journey toward project completion should be a smooth and rewarding experience right from the get-go. Working alongside each client, design team and trade partner, our innovative approach to Preconstruction/Design Phase services ensures you’ll have an appropriate budget, a fast and accurate schedule, and a collaborative team who delivers high quality documents well before the first shovel ever hits the ground.
CONSTRUCTION
It takes a high performing team working together to propel your project through the Construction Phase and on to completion. This is where your design vision takes shape. Using the most sophisticated technology tools and with a close eye on your schedule and budget, our builders tackle the toughest construction challenges to make sure your goals are achieved.
POST-CONSTRUCTION
Planning for your project’s completion started early in the Design Phase and now the day has finally arrived. Making sure the transition from construction to start up and occupancy is seamless takes planning, communication and a focus on quality. But, we don’t stop at the finish line. We take it up a notch to make sure your staff is ready confident to move ahead, and we’ll be there with you every step of the way.

The Lodge at Torrey Pines - La Jolla, CA

Located on a 6.5-acre site, which previously housed a lodge that was almost completely demolished to build the new property, the Lodge at Torrey Pines is adjacent to the Torrey Pines Municipal Golf Course. McCarthy’s scope of work for the landmark hotel included construction of a new, 175,000-square-foot, four-level, U-shaped addition with 175 guest rooms; a separate, two-story building for presidential and governor luxury suites and spa; a courtyard; a grand terrace overlooking the Torrey Pines golf course; and a three-level, 269-car parking structure. Construction of public spaces included the porte-cochere, pool, lobby, restaurant, kitchen, meeting rooms and a new ballroom.

Allegiant Stadium - Las Vegas, NV

World-class home for the NFL Raiders upon the team’s relocation in 2020. The Mortenson | McCarthy joint venture team will build the $1.9 billion domed stadium, which will also host UNLV Football and a variety of other sporting and non-sporting events. The facility will feature 65,000 seats (expandable to 72,000), a retractable natural turf field, large operable walls that open to spectacular views of the neighboring Las Vegas Strip, and a variety of premium spaces throughout all levels. In addition to the stadium, the site will accommodate a mixed-use commercial development.

Collin College Technical Campus— Allen, TX

The four buildings consist of 42,000 square feet of shared classroom and dual credit space for Allen ISD,151,000 square feet of academic space to be used for classrooms, administration, common areas and student services, and 177,646 square feet of trade bar space to house the technical training classroom, open lab spaces, MEP shops, welding shops, automotive shops, carpentry shops, and several support areas such as offices, campus security, student bookstore, and breakout meeting areas.

Sunset Bronson Studios ICON Office Tower - Hollywood, California

Located on a 4.4-acre site at the northeast corner of Sunset Bronson Studios lot in the heart of Hollywood, ICON is the new home to Netflix’s Los Angeles office headquarters and was named 2017 ENR California Best Project for Office/Retail/Mixed Use. It’s a 14-story, Class A, approximately 323,000-square-foot office tower. Designed by Gensler Architects
